Who Won:
Matt won. Was there ever any doubt? His dry sense of humor and subtle way of leading and keeping the peace has grown on us throughout the season. He flew under the radar for half of the season, and at the end, came out to shine.
Runner-up:

It looked like a sure win for Carisa. The Judges sounded very positive about her space and said very few negative things about it. The way the clips were edited lead us to believe that it was in the bag for Carisa. But then Jonathan Adler told Matt that he had the Top Design. Carisa walked away saying that she was fine with getting second place, but that it would have killed Matt to lose to her. So, in true Carisa style, she had to get in one small dig at a
componentopponent for the road.
Extreme Design Challenge:
The remaining contenders each design the interior of a house -- two separate 1,700 square foot lofts in downtown Los Angeles to be exact. The Top Design winner receives fabulous prizes, where as the loser just gets to go home.
Surprises:
The clients? Themselves! They were both so excited that they got to design a loft that was to their taste and didn't have to worry about disappointing anyone other than themselves.
Shout-out: A shout-out to Ed the carpenter. He seemed awesome, and if they ever have a show called "Top Carpenter," Ed should be on it.
