Jonathan Adler prefaced this week's judging by saying "You all made some very bad choices." What do you think? Add your thoughts here.
Top Design- Tahiti Cabana
Winners- Tahiti Cabana
Andrea, Felicia, and Michael

Margaret liked the curtains and flow of the fabric, which earned Michael points because he chose the fabric for this design. Kelly expressed her concern that the cabana doesn't have a roof, which caused Andrea to defend the design by saying that the cabana was supposed to look like a fantasy. That didn't fly with Kelly: she wanted her roof. Margaret jumped on the bandwagon by saying that the cabana wasn't exotic enough to look like it belonged in Tahiti. Jonathan commented that the team pulled the cabana off with pinache. Kelly agreed that the design was clean, restrained, and used the negative space nicely.
Top Design- Miami Cabana

Losers- Miami Cabana
Voted Off: Elizabeth
Other members: Erik and Matt

Jonathan Adler thought that the use of indoor/outdoor space was good, but hated the colors. Matt was questioned about where his presence was in the design because it looked like he took a back seat on this one. Kelly said that though she liked that the cabana had refuge from the sun, the colors looked more like Las Vegas than Miami. The guest judge, Kathryn Ireland said that the indoor space was too cramped. All of the judges thought the colors were awful, and Kelly said that it looked like they bought the paint on sale. The choice of colors ultimately ended in Elizabeth's dismissal.

Top Design - St. Tropez Cabana
St. Tropez Cabana
Carisa, Goil, Ryan

Jonathan Adler thought that the structure was creative and gave kudos to Goil. However, he felt that the fabric and furniture was an afterthought. Margaret thought that the neutral colors made a very heavy design statement. Carisa defended the group by saying that they were inspired by the colors on the St. Tropez postcard they were given at the beginning of the challenge, but Kelly rebuked Carisa's comment by stating that the team took the postcard too literally. Guest judge Kathryn Ireland said that the design was boring, but the structure was great. Kelly commented that the architecture and furniture had no dialog with each other.
