Erik grew up in South Bend, Indiana. Like Ryan, Erik has worked very hard from a young age to be successful. Completely self-taught, Erik has honed his skills in theatrical lighting and set design is already a partner in a Chicago design firm before the ripe age of 30. Erik is driven and takes charge, which is why he is a great contender in this competitive environment. Erik lives and breathes design.

Erik currently lives with his life partner, David, in Chicago. He claims his greatest design achievement is their house. He says, “a true designer is always looking at things to put their stamp on.”
